Our client, a leading property company, are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant in City Centre to join a small finance team,supporting the Head Accountant on the property side of the business.
You will be an enthusiastic qualified Accounts Technician/Part-Qualified with a high level of attention to detail and a "can do" attitude.
Your key responsibilities in this role will be:
Charging rent & service charge to tenants on a quarterly basis
Charging Insurance to tenants on an annual basis
Preparation of Audit files for service charge audits at year end and liaising with auditors during audit period o
Preparation of Balancing charges/credits to tenants o Reporting to and liaising with clients on a regular basis
Preparing month-end reports to Clients and Auditors Credit Control
Maintaining Nominal, Creditor & Debtor Ledgers for a selected number of Managed Properties
Preparation of accounts to trial balance o Posting Invoices to Supplier Ledgers & timely payment of same o Posting of Debtor receipts to appropriate ledgers
Cashflow Management o PAYE, VAT & RCT returns where applicable o Preparation of weekly, monthly & quarterly Client reports on Excel
The Ideal candidate:
To be considered for this role you must be an Accounts Technician/Assistant or a Part Qualified Accountant
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel to an advanced level
Credit Control is a key element of this role - The ideal candidate must have previous experience in credit control - The position will require a persistent attitude to the debt collection process and an excellent phone manner
