Accounts Assistant 

Our client is an  independent asset and development management company based in Dublin city, due to Growth they are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant initially on a 12 month contract with a view to permanency

The Principle Duties of this Position will include:

Property Accounts Administration  - Commercial & Residential Properties

  • Provide support to the Property Managers and Head of Client Accounting in respect of billings and credit control:

        - Raise tenant rents and service charge billings on a quarterly and             monthly basis

        - Raise ad hoc billings for tenant recharges as advised by the                   Property Managers

        - Ensure rent and service charge invoices are emailed to tenant  

        - Monitor bank accounts daily, and allocate rents and service                     charge receipts to the accounting package

        - Prepare the bi weekly arrears report

        - Assist with tenants’ accounts queries

        - Credit control is a key element of this role

        - Posting of Debtor receipts to appropriate ledgers

  • Responsible for the property payables function

        - Monitor daily the accounts payable folder

        - Co-ordinate with Property Managers to approve invoices for                    payment and analysis of expense to service charge budgets

        - Posting Invoices to Supplier Ledgers & timely payment of same

        - Arrange monthly payment runs and update accounting records

        - Respond to supplier queries

  • Assist Property Managers with ad hoc queries
  • Assist with Service Charge Budget preparation and reviews

Key attributes, skills and experience for the role include:

  • At least 1 years accounts experience
  • Previous credit control experience with persistent attitude to the debt collection
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Organised, logical approach with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as a strong team player
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  •  Excellent command of written and spoken English  Strong Excel skills
