Assistant Accountant, Engineering, Dublin South

Our client are an indigenous business who have experienced exponential growth throughout 2018.  It is expected to continue through 2019 and as such they are seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller in the running of the finance team. 

The Position: 

This is a broad role that would suit an experienced accounting technician or part qualified accountant who is seeking the next step in their career.

Duties will include:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Providing monthly reports to management teams
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting 
  • Variance Analysis
  • Financial Reporting 
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Month end close and journal posting 
  • Maintain fixed asset register 
  • Assist with audit process 
  • Review and development of internal control and improvement of existing processes
  • Payroll

    The Person
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a finance role 
  • Ideally Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Payroll experience an advantage
