Payroll Specialist, Professional Services, Kildare

Our client is a well-established professional services organisation based in the Co. Kildare region. Due to continued growth and expansion they are seeking to expand their payroll team with the addition of an experienced Payroll Specialist.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant team at a time of exciting growth and development to take up this key role.

You will be responsible for processing a variety of payrolls on behalf of a portfolio of clients.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Senior Management to actively build and develop the payroll service.

Responsibilities will include the following

  • Responsible for the processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for clients
  • Calculating and entering of all amendments e.g. starters, leavers, tax certs, P45’s, deductions, allowances etc.
  • Accurately process payroll instructions received from clients
  • Produce and check payroll reports
  • Communicate with clients regarding payroll queries
  • P45 filing via ROS 
  • Monthly and annual tax returns – P30s, P35s and P60s
  • Dealing with client queries, new client set up etc

The ideal candidate:

  • IPASS qualified
  • Accounting Technician qualification an advantage but not essential
  • At least 2+ years Irish payroll experience
  • Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience an advantage but not essential
  • Previous practice/payroll bureau experience an advantage but not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service ethos
