Our client is a high profile medium-sized practice based in Kerry. A long-established firm, they have a reputation for providing excellent tax consultancy services to a broad client base. Within the Munster region, they are viewed as a high-quality professional firm, who is a leader within their specialised field. They have a vacancy for an Accountant to join their firm and specialise in Taxation.

Accountant to specialise in Tax

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who is passionate about tax and wishes to develop their career in this area. Candidates will benefit from working closely with their Tax Partner and will gain exposure to a varied range of assignments across a broad range of clients.

The training within this firm is second to none, and the successful candidate will quickly be given responsibility for working on challenging assignments. The culture within the firm is supportive, and the training plan is designed to quickly broaden and develop the candidate's experience. This is achieved by working closely with colleagues and having a high level of interaction with Partners.

Role

• Managing tax compliance for a range of clients, across all tax headings
• Assisting Partner on tax projects
• Researching tax issues to support advice to clients on various issues
• Extensive interaction with clients, other advisors and revenue
• Non-routine tax assignments including tax aspects of restructuring, patents, revenue audits, inheritance advice, cash extractions and non-routine VAT issues

Candidate Profile 

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
• Practice experience
• Excellent academic record
• Good client skills and a self-starter
