Accounting Graduate – Food Processing Business, Dublin 15

Our client supplies a range of processed food products to the retail and hospitality sectors across Ireland. Within their sector they would be viewed as one of the leading suppliers and have substantially increased both turnover and profit share over the last 5 years. They have a vacancy for an Accounting Graduate to join their Finance division.

Accounting Graduate

This is an excellent opportunity to commence a career in accounting and study for a professional accountancy qualification. The successful candidate will benefit from working closely with their Financial Controller. Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare costings for all new products, highlight the selling price needed for the margin required
• On an ongoing basis maintain costings for c. 300 products
• Monitor monthly distribution costs
• Prepare detailed analysis on cost increases and increase sales price where necessary
• Create and improve on a monthly costing reports
• Complete weekly KPI reports on labour costs
• Assist with stocktakes
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when required
• Assist with budget preparation, monitor actual spend vs budget
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel is beneficial

This is achieved by working closely with colleagues and having a high level of interaction with Financial Controller and Leadership team. 

The Candidate:

• Recent graduate preferably with a minimum of a 2.1 degree
• Minimum 400 Points in Leaving Certificate
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Keen desire to make a career in accountancy in Industry
