Construction Company, Cavan 

Our client is an Irish based construction company, based in Cavan. At any stage they are involved in range construction projects across Ireland. They have a vacancy for an Accounting Technician or a Part Qualified Accountant to manage their office and finance function. 

Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant 

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will involve the following:   

• Managing the day-to-day finance function
• Preparation of monthly reports (P&L, Balance Sheet)
• Monthly KPI reports on project progress, Cashflow and debtors
• Payroll preparation
• Accounts Payable: processing invoices, preparing payments run, reconciling supplier accounts
• Debtors: preparing sales invoicing, posting debtor receipts
• Monthly Journals & Control accounts (Debtors & Creditors)
• Ownership of ROS and ensuring VAT, PAYE, RCT are maintained

Candidate Profile 

Ideal candidate will have a number of years’ experience within a quality well run business.  Role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable working with the owners. Role will suit an Accounting Technician or Part Qualified, who has pro-active “can do” attitude. Working experience within a fast paced construction, engineering or contracting business would be a distinct advantage.
