Accounts Assistant, Advertising, South City

Our client, an award winning advertising agency, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team working 4 days a week or 30 hours over 5 days.

The organisation is Ireland’s most creative and effective independent creative advertising agency whose clients include Diageo, Three mobile (UK and Ireland) Kellogg's, Musgraves, An Post, Ulster Bank to name but a few. 

Reporting to the Finance Director role will involve the following duties.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Reviewing and Issuing of Sales Invoices, both client and inter-company and in multiple currencies
  • Raising and issuing of client monthly debtor statements
  • AR Cash Collections
  • Allocation of all group client receipts against invoices on our MIS system Workbook
  • Aged Debtors reconciliations

Accounts Payable:

  • Aged Creditors reconciliations
  • Posting of all cost of sales invoices and overhead invoices on our MIS system Workbook
  • Allocation of all payments on our MIS system Workbook
  • Compilation and processing of bi-monthly payments list through our bank and on our MIS system Workbook
  • Reconciling and posting of group Credit Cards / PLEO Cards
  • Processing of staff expenses

Accounts Preparation:

  • Opening and Closing of Job Bags and management of same in conjunction with the relationship management team
  • Reconciling Bank accounts (EUR, GBP & USD) on our MIS system Workbook on a daily basis
  • Reconciling Inter-company Accounts
  • Setting up Suppliers and Clients on the MIS system Workbook
  • Update foreign exchange rates on our MIS system Workbook on a monthly basis
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Registers
  • Complete Monthly overheads analysis
  • Posting of monthly journals as directed
  • Adhering to our commercial policies
  • Assisting with the annual audit
  • Complete ad-hoc requests as requested

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, agency experience is desirable but not essential
  • Highly detail and accuracy focused
  • Highly motivated and creative in their approach

  • Strong Communications and Interpersonal Skills
  • Team player
  • Proficient in use of IT software to include, but not limited to, MS Word and MS Excel
