An amazing opportunity has arisen for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to enhance our client's financial decision-making process. The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, strategic planning, and financial reporting processes. You will work closely with management to contribute to financial planning and business strategy, driving performance and aiding in the company's financial success.
Primary responsibilities:
- Support the executive team with the delivery of the company’s forecasts and business plan, with the preparation of advanced excel models as part of business planning and strategy activities
- Ensure the consistent availability of reliable analytics to assist senior management in decision making
- Collaborate with non-finance departments in the organisation to increase overall performance
What you will do:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, P&L activity analysis, margin analysis, cost of sales/stock reconciliations and completion of month end reporting requirements
- Prepare and manage detailed rolling budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure strict budget adherence and financial compliance
- Manage cashflow
- Prepare customer Pricing Models and collaborate with distributors
- Prepare specific investment modelling, scenario planning, ad hoc business analysis and reports as required
- Management of stocking loan facilities
- Act as Company liaison with external auditors
- Drive continuous process improvement in all financial processes to ensure scalability
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management
Skills, Knowledge & Experience you will need:
- Professional accounting qualification (part qualified accountants with a high level of relevant experience will also be considered)
- 3-5 years’ experience in monthly management accounts preparation and budget preparation/management
- Experience in an FMCG environment and/or a rapidly changing environment would be an advantage
- Strong excel skills essential
- Proficient in accounting software
- Must have an interest in financial data and its interaction with other departments, partnering closely with cross functional teams to solve operational complexities and forecasts
