Client Profile 

Our client is a leading business supplying into the construction sector. They are currently restructuring the Finance team and seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller in a broad role across all areas of finance. Ideally suited to a Part-Qualified Accountant at the mid to end stages of their accountancy exams with full study support provided.  

Role: Assistant Accountant 

The Assistant Accountant will act as a number two to the Financial Controller. Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Month-end reporting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Involvement in annual budgeting process 
• Reconciliations 
• Analysis and provision of key information to management
• Accounts Payable 
• Accounts Receiveable 
• Process and procedure review and improvement

Candidate Profile:

• Relevant experience in a hands on role 
• Excellent analytical skills
• Results orientated
• Excellent technical abilities
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
• Excellent communication, customer care, and people management skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills
