Our Client: Medium Practice, Dublin West
Our client is a progressive medium-sized accountancy firm in Dublin West. They are regarded as a leading mid-tier accountancy firm with a focus on providing each client with a top-quality “all-round” business service. They have developed an excellent client base comprising solid medium-sized indigenous corporate and high net worth clients. We have been exclusively retained by them to source an experienced Tax Professional to join their firm and manage all tax affairs for their client base.
Role: Tax Assistant Manager
The role will be totally focused on providing clients with high-level support across the broad spectrum of taxes. Role will include
• Review of Corporation & Income tax computations, prepared by audit staff
• Review of Audit files for Tax points
• Advising staff internally on legislative changes with regard to taxation
• Working closely with staff on training & development
• Advising a "High Net Worth" clients regarding business and investment matters
• Managing Capital Taxes, VAT and RCT
• Retirement Planning
• Advising clients on personal tax and corporate issues
• Full involvement in client meetings
• Liaising with revenue
• Strengthening relationships with existing clients in addition to developing new external clients.
• Manage the tax group, including WIP, billings and fee collections.
• Liaising with other departments to identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Attending as the “tax person” at meetings.
• Managing revenue Audits
• The successful candidate will manage and develop their own team
Who will the role suit?
The candidate should have a number of year’s experience managing a large client allocation, both personal and corporate. This may be within a large or medium accountancy firm where they have experience of high volume taxation returns. The role could suit a candidate within a smaller firm who wants to take ownership for a tax function. As a key member of staff, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the strategic development and direction of the tax department & of the firm. The role offers strong "upward" career development potential, as the client wishes to hire a candidate who will progress to senior management.
