Our client is a high profile Accountancy Firm. Their business ethos is focussed on providing each client with a quality all-round service. In addition to the traditional accounting & year-end assignments, they provide advanced Tax and business consulting solutions.

Role: Business Support Manager – Tax Division

Their tax division is one of the most progressive in the country and over the next 12 months, they are set to grow their business substantially. The Tax division primarily handles Tax Planning. As part of this development, they are hiring a Business Support Manager to work with their Head of Taxation.

The role will involve providing support to the Head of Tax on achieving the objectives of the division including:

• Managing work in progress reports
• Providing monthly reports on Tax division activity and on individual assignments
• Monthly invoicing & debtor control
• Supporting the Head of Tax on new business leads
• Interacting with staff in other divisions to identify tax planning opportunities

The role offers the successful candidate scope to help build the revenue and client base of the organisation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have worked or trained within an accountancy firm, and have experience of accounts preparation and tax returns. While not working on taxation assignments, they should have a good understanding of tax, possibly gained working within a tax position. They should be confident and have the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with the existing team of tax consultants, management within the firm and high net worth clients. Accountancy and/or tax qualification while not necessary would be a distinct advantage.
