Finance Business Partner, Construction, Kildare 

Our client are a market leader in their sector. They are currently looking to expand their Finance team with the addition of a commercially minded Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will take ownership for a number of key projects within the Group and will really focus on fostering good relationships to understand the financial performance and identify potential issues before they arise. 

The Position

This is a high profile role in a progressive organisation working with the Senior Management and Operations teams with a real focus on relationship building.  

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Leadership and development of small team
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Analysis of income and costings to date 
• Assist with preparation of tenders 
• Revenue recognition 
• Prepare reports for senior management as requested 
• Develop and update financial models 
• Support commercial business teams in preparing and evaluating proposals
• Review and improvement of financial systems, controls and processes 
• Margin analysis

Role will be on a hybrid basis and include some element of travel to projects within Ireland as required. 

The Person

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant with relevant commercial experience
• Construction experience very beneficial
• Strong technical skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communicator
• Self-motivating and able to work on own initiative
