Reporting into the Finance controller, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance department.
The Role:
In this role, you will have ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the accounts receivable and accounts payable and ensure that the company's finance function is organised, efficient and produces accurate data for the Management Accounts.
You will oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, client billing, debtor & creditor management, supplier invoicing and other finance activities. Although the role requires overseeing the finance function there will be times you will need to step in when appropriate and provide additional support to team and to be able cover in absences. Importantly, you support the Finance Director by providing accurate reports and monitor and advise the Client Services Team to produce accurate revenue recognition figures.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Finance commercial analysts on liaising with client services on billing clients both fee and expenses invoices
- Work closely with client services team on accurate revenue recognition
- Analysis Client profitability i.e., Income Analysis, unbilled WIP and Time
- Oversee the debtor management process to ensure that all debts are recovered in a timely manner to minimise bad debt
- Working capital reporting to Omnicom Group
- Cash Forecasting
- Responsible for sharing/updating weekly forecast report used for revenue forecast by Client Service team
- Provide commercial reports for clients when requested
- Approve weekly and monthly supplier payments runs ensuring the suppliers are being paid within our payment terms and qualifications
- Update/maintain Client Master File and client credit review on workbook and Credit voyager (this includes accessing potential clients and pro-act with client team and FC if reaching credit limits)
- Manage staff and credit card expenses ensuring that they fulfil company guidelines and revenue guidelines. Upload the expense report to ROS before payment of expenses
- Responsible for Timesheet management (review time spent on internal jobs along with assisting the team on chasing timesheets and escalating where appropriate for incomplete or inaccurate timesheets)
- Ensuring projects, clients and suppliers are all set up correctly on Workbook
- Oversee monthly budget trackers process that are shared with department heads, including internal department budgets
- Support Financial Controller with month reports
- Support Finance Director in annual Budget processes
Candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant essential (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or similar)
- Ideally Experience within a design, marketing, or creative agency
- Advanced Excel skills
- Workbook experience is an advantage
- People Management experience

- Logical, intuitive, great initiative and able to drive/adapt to an ever-changing environment

This is a lovely role working hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 from home if needed.
