The Company

Our client is a recognised brand in the FMCG sector, they are seeking to expand their finance team.   Due to continued change in the sector they are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to support the business growth.  

The Position:

The role is varied and hands-on and will support on many projects to implement change.  It would suit an ambitious accountant who is looking to take the next step into a busy role.  Some of the duties will involve: 

• Preparation and consolidation of monthly management accounts
• Financial reporting submissions internally and externally
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
• KPI preparation and analysis
• Tax and statutory compliance
• Reviewing costs against budget
• Review and improve internal controls, policies and procedures
• Management of system upgrade

    The person:

The role is high volume and fast-paced and the successful candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge: 

• Qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE
• Good technical financial accounting skills
• Excellent excel skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• The ability to work within tight deadlines, pay close attention to detail and ensure quality in output.
• A well-motivated team player with a strong ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of financial systems
