Finance Manager, Wellness, Dublin/Remote

Our client is an innovative organization and a market leader in the Wellness industry. They are currently undergoing significant growth and now require an experienced Finance Manager to support the CFO in implementing robust processes and structures to develop a solid finance function. This will be a hands-on role and requires an autonomous individual who is commercially aware and able to build and improve existing processes and systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly board reporting
  • Management of payroll ensuring compliance and accuracy with benefits and tax
  • Assist the CFO in preparation of annual budgets and forecast updates
  • Financial analysis and reporting on financial performance vs budget on revenues, gross margin, and costs to support business decision making
  • Manage cashflow forecasting, and lead in the implementation of initiatives to improve net working capital
  • Prepare, present, and file all necessary regulatory and legal returns
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place throughout the organization
  • Drive initiatives to automate, simplify and optimize business processes
  • Ensure that direct reports have clearly defined roles and objectives, and that they are developed and motivated to achieve the required standards
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other finance related ad hoc duties as assigned by the CFO

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an SME environment
  • Experienced in setting up new finance processes, and in managing organizational change in a start-up/growing business
  • Payroll experience, and good understanding of Irish employment law preferred
  • Excellent understanding of current accounting standards, practice, and guidance
  • Ability to work autonomously on own initiative
  • Excellent communicator with excellent attention to detail and skilled in analysing and presenting financial data
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, plan and prioritize work within agreed timelines
