Our client is a small organisation seeking to appoint a Finance Officer who will report into the CEO and co-ordinate all aspects of finance across a number of sites. They are embarking on a significant restructure of their finances and in the process of centralising their finance function and migrating all financial responsiblity in-house. 

This pivotal role will work wtih the leadership team and manage all current aspects of financial administration working closely with their external accountants.  It is a lovely organisation operating through the Irish Language so this role will be performed in Irish. 

Role Responsibilities

• Manage financial administration 
• Accounts Payable 
• Support external accountants with all aspects of accounts preparation 
• Manage the audit 
• Manage grant applications and government funding requirements 
• Lead and develop small team
• Support on restructuring project including financial systems review and development
• Oversee annual insurance renewals and manage ongoing coverage needs
• Oversee financial aspects of grant applications and reporting, ensuring compliance with funder terms
• Contribute to the broader organisational growth and strategic initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar  finance role 
• Fluent in Irish language 

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Proficient in accounting and payroll software, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
