Our client, a large housing association experiencing a period of growth, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is based in Dublin City Centre and operates on a hybrid basis with 1-2 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Management Accounts Preparation Lead
- Ensure timely preparation of Monthly Management accounts to include supporting schedules and Variance reporting
- Preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts presentation pack to include dashboard, Infographics, and KPIs
- Provide granular reporting by Estate to Asset Management and Housing Services Departments
- Liaise regularly with departmental Managers in supporting of Budget tracking and report requirements
- Update Bank Covenant reporting requirements on a quarterly basis
- Identification of value-add opportunities to the business
Cashflow Accounting
- Preparation of the monthly cashflow statement as part of the monthly Management Accounts
- Support Treasury function by co-ordinating inputs to the rolling cash flow forecasting process
Annual Audit Process Lead
- Liaise and co-ordinate with the external statutory auditors in the preparation of the Annual Audit and Audit field work
- Communicate to Management with regular progress reporting
- Co-ordination of uploads to the Audit portal
Annual Budget Preparation Lead
- Co-ordinate and support Budget owners in the preparation of the Annual Budget
- Collate departmental Budget information and report to Senior Management on overall CHI Budget
- Co-ordination of the inputs to the 30-year financial projection forecasts
- Support in the financial modelling and stress testing of those forecasts
Fixed Asset Account Lead
- To maintain and update CHI fixed asset register monthly
- Perform depreciation and amortisation calculation routines with nominal ledger postings
- Monthly Nominal Reconciliations of the Fixed Asset Register with the Asset and Loans Register and Asset Management databases
- Explore new software option for CHI Fixed Asset Register currently housed in Excel
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Assigned BOI Administrator for Online banking
- Responsible for user set-ups and access rights assignation
- Beneficiary approver and Payment uploads and approvals of Finance – BI-Annual Financial Survey submission
- Housing Regulator – Support the Financial inputs to the Annual submission to AHBRA
- Castleton Finance Administrator – User set up and access rights assignments
- Support in the provision of Quarterly Covenant management accounts reports to external Funders
- Participate in any Internal Audit processes when necessary
- Ad hoc tasks directed by Finance Manager
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong Excel, analytical and modelling skills required
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of an integrated team
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to report to Senior Management including Board Sub-committee
Conditions of Employment (TBC):
- Salary Range 60k-70k
