Client Profile 

Our client is a growing retail business looking to expand their finance team.  They are seeking to appoint an ambitious accountant to support in a busy role taking ownership of a particular area of the business.  

Role: Financial Accountant 

The Financial Accountant will provide a wide range of financial information and involvement in growth projects. Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and month end close activities 
• Analysis and provision of key information to management
• Involvement in annual budgeting process 
• Manage year end close and audit process 
• Tax and statutory reporting 
• Oversight of payroll 
• Process and procedure review and improvement including financial systems 
• Support Finance across transformation projects 

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Accountant ideally Big4 trained or retail / FMCG experience
• Excellent analytical skills
• Results orientated
• Excellent technical abilities
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
• Excellent communication, customer care, and people management skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills
