Client Profile 

Our client is a well known retailer with locations all around Ireland and a strong online presence. They are seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to support across all areas of finance.   Reporting into the Head of Finance this is a broad role with a lot of exposure.  

Role: Financial Accountant 

The Financial Accountant will provide a wide range of financial information and involvement in growth projects. Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and month end close activities 
• Analysis and provision of key information to management
• Cash management and reconciliations
• Involvement in annual budgeting process and cashflow forecasting 
• Manage year end close and audit process 
• Tax and statutory reporting 
• Process and procedure review and improvement including financial systems
• Lead and develop junior members in finance 
• Support Finance across transformation projects 

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Accountant ideally with retail / FMCG experience 
• Excellent analytical skills
• Results orientated
• Excellent technical abilities
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
• Excellent communication, customer care, and people management skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills
