Financial Accountant, Semi State, Dublin / Hybrid

The Company:

Our client is a high-profile Semi State with very successful operations throughout Ireland. They are seeking to strengthen the Finance team with the addition of a Qualified Accountant to support the Senior Management team due to a recent restructure in the team and will be a broad role across all areas of finance with an opportunity to progress within the team.  

The Position:

The role is hands on and varied, supporting the Finance Manager in all areas of financial reporting and control. Some of the duties include:

• Accounts preparation including P&L and Balance Sheet
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting and 5 year business planning 
• Review operating costs and work with Department Heads on implementing cost control measures 
• Assist with preparation of board packs 
• Keeping up to date and implementing necessary changes across the areas of tax, accounting standards, and legislation 
• Assist with year end and statutory compliance 
• Involvement with internal and external audit
• Support in the leading and development of Finance team
• Monitoring financial performance

The Person:

• Qualified Accountant with relevant experience in a similar role
• Experience of working in large company with high volume 
• Excellent analytical skills with strong IT skills essential, SAP highly desirable 
• Deadline orientated, with the ability to work to multiple tight deadlines
• Strong communicator
• Excellent attention to detail
