An ambitious and growing SME is looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact across the business, ensuring financial stability, insightful reporting, and effective resource allocation.  Ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys variety and is keen to contribute to the success of a purpose-driven company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with clear analysis
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial tracking
• Investigate and explain budget variances to management
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices
• Partner with operational teams to support business decision-making
• Oversee financial planning for key projects and business initiatives
• Monitor capital expenditure and align spend with financial goals
• Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and investors
• Contribute to the development and implementation of finance processes
• Support year-end and interim audits and liaise with external auditors
• Provide financial insight and advice to support business growth
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and practices

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience with hands on accounts preparation experience
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A team player with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
