Our client is a long established indigenous Irish business experiencing a period of growth. From their headquarters in Monaghan, the manufacture and distribute a unique range of products to a customer base in Ireland globally. Led by an entrepreneurial management team, whose ongoing drive for best practice, has let to them being viewed as a leading player within their industry sector. They have a vacancy for a Financial Controller to oversee their Finance function. As Number 2 to the CFO, the Financial Controller as part of the leadership team, will support management in achieving  their strategic and business objectives. 

Financial Controller 

The role will involve the following:  

• Managing the day-to-day financial control of the business
• Provide support to the Directors to enable strategic decision making
• Ongoing development and review of the inhouse IT systems
• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts information pack for the Board
• Completion of annual budgets, forecasts and rolling business plans
• Management and development of the finance team
• Ensure organisation is compliant with Taxation and Statutory obligations
• Year-end Audit
• Ongoing development and review internal controls and processes
• Implementation and continuous improvement of current information systems 

Candidate Profile 

Ideal candidate will have a number of years’ experience within a quality well run business.  Role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. Candidate should be a qualified accountant, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active “can do” attitude. Working experience within a fast paced, service, FMCG or Manufacturing business would be a distinct advantage. The role may also suit a practice trained accountant, at a manager level seeking a move to industry.
