Accountancy Solutions: Discovering Talent

Our client a Non for profit organisation with office in Dublin city who have seem massive growth in services and funding in the last few years are currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance to join their team initially on a contract basis.

This role will manage 5 staff.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial strategy/organisational budget, planning, and reporting to ensure financial sustainability.
• Lead and develop a team and foster a high-performance culture
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Oversee financial controls and systems, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Manage cash flow, reserves, and investment strategies
• Ensure timely and accurate management accounts, financial statements, and reports for the Board.
• Oversee payroll, taxation, grant management, and funding applications.
• Co-ordination of all grant applications
• Develop new income opportunities and funding streams
• Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements, including charity governance,
• Maintain robust internal control systems
• Oversee data protection, procurement, and contract management.
• Manage all aspects of insurance provision for the organisation
• Act as the key liaison with external HR Advisory service

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (with  post-qualification experience) in a senior finance role
• Knowledge of financial management, compliance, and risk governance.
• Experience managing audits, grant funding, and public sector reporting requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with public funding and regulatory frameworks in Ireland.
• Understanding of charity governance and compliance best practices.
