Company: FMCG Sales Organisation, Mayo 

Our client is an Irish owned FMCG organisation supplying a specialist range of products to a customer base across Ireland. Within the business there is a focus on quality and “best practice” that has set them apart from competitors. The business is a competitive and results driven organisation, achieving revenue and market share growth year on year. They wish to appoint an experienced senior finance professional to join their finance team. The role will effectively be number 2 to the Financial Controller. 

Management Accountant (New position) 

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will involve: 

Preparation for a monthly management reporting package including:

• P&L for group analysed by various revenue business units
• KPI reports
• Cashflow reporting 

Accounting:

• Oversee AP payments and supplier reconciliations
• Manage monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of Nominal Ledger journals
• Support with annual business planning, forecasting, and budgeting
• Ensuring effective internal controls are in place
• Overseeing retail division cash receipts and reporting 

Other duties:

• Assisting with the development and review of accounting systems
• Provide leadership and support to finance team
• Oversee Banking & Cash Flow, and Accounts Payable
• Control of retail division cash receipts, lodgements and reporting
• Monitor Capital and Marketing spends
• Ad hoc involvement with companywide projects 

Candidate Profile 

Role will suit a qualified accountant with a number of years post qualification experience within a quality well run business.  Will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. Candidate should have excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active “can do” attitude. Working experience within fast paced indigenous FMCG, Distribution or retail business would be a distinct advantage.
