A dynamic and growing Irish business with a strong presence in the South East is currently seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its expanding finance function. This opportunity is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant coming from a Big 4 or Top 10 practice who is keen to make a first move into industry within a commercially focused and fast-paced organisation.  Working as part of a collaborative finance team, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives while supporting key decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Producing monthly financial reports and supporting variance analysis across business units
• Partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights and commercial support
• Supporting the year-end audit process and liaising with external advisors
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
• Contributing to the enhancement of finance systems, reporting processes, and internal procedures
• Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance requirements
• Involvement in ongoing finance projects and process improvement initiatives as the business continues to grow

Candidate Profile

• Newly qualified accountant trained within a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice preferred
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Motivated, adaptable, and eager to progress within a commercial finance environment
• Strong systems and Excel skills with an interest in improving processes
• Commercially focused with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
