Client Profile: Medium Accountancy Practice, Cork

Our client is a high profile accountancy practice based in Cork. An established practice with a reputation for quality and delivery of client expectations, they have a wide range of clients both domestic and international. Their client base includes some sizeable indigenous groups, major manufacturing companies, retail operations, and professionals.

Over the next 12 months the focus of the Management team is to further develop their business by acquiring new clients and by developing the existing service lines to existing clients.

Role – Practice Manager

They are seeking to recruit a commercially focused Practice Manager to strengthen their Management team. Reporting at Partner level, the role will involve managing the relationship between the firm and a portfolio of key clients and providing them with high level support across all business areas.

This role will include:

• Managing and planning client assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Providing business and consultancy advice regarding company development
• Identify and market additional service offerings to existing clients
• Business development
• Manage work in progress, billing, collections, and profitability per assignment
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
• Responsibility for managing the successful completion of each assignment
• Working on ad-hoc assignments with the firm’s Partners
• Motivating and developing staff

Successful candidate should have qualified with a quality accounting firm and ideally have responsibility for their own portfolio of clients. They should be focussed on developing a long-term career in practice. They should be confident interacting with Senior Management in client organisations and the leadership team of the practice.

• Qualified Accountant
• Excellent client relationship management skills
• Commercially focused and good practice development skills
• Strong communication skills
