Our client is a hugely successful company, with operations around the globe. They currently require a Project Accountant.  This role will give the successful candidate an overview and detailed knowledge of one of the leading PLC’s in Ireland.  It offers an ambitious, progressive Qualified Accountant the opportunity to take on a busy and varied position, within a leading company.

Role: Project Accountant 

The Project Accountant will be responsible for working with the Group Reporting team in providing a wide range of financial information.  Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Project work 
• Reviewing internal controls 
• Involvement in Internal and External audit 
• Assistance with financial statement preparation 
• Consolidation assistance 
• External Group Reporting 
• Analysis and provision of key information to management
• Strategy development
• Financial system maintenance

This is a high profile role and will give the succesful candidate a chance to progress throughout a leading organisation.  

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant
• SOX 404 - Prerequisite
• Preference for Big 4 or Top 10 trained with proven academic track record
• Excellent analytical skills
• Results orientated
• Proven track record in introducing process improvements
• Previous experience in financial planning and analysis
• Excellent technical abilities
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands on role
• Excellent communication, customer care  and people management skills
• Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills
• Strong IT and Excel experience, Hyperion desireable
