Our client, a growing organisation operating within the health care sector, is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join them.

Position Overview

Responsible for managing day to day financial operations for Ireland and managing the Ireland finance team to ensure accurate and timely outputs of financial and other associated data. Key responsibilities are to produce accurate and timely management accounts, KPI data, cash management, and client and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month end process to ensure the production of accurate and timely financial information and appropriate documentation of controls and reconciliations for review by the FD
  • Manage and develop the finance team and ensure they have clear work and development plans
  • Prepare and report flash and month end financials to Group Finance according to agreed timescales
  • Work with the FD, and operational management to prepare detailed financial information for the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Manage NetSuite (NS) financial system and liaise with other group teams to manage and develop financial processes within the NS system and ensure adoption of group best practice by the finance team
  • Manage client and reporter billing process
  • Oversee the maintenance of the fixed asset register ensuring accuracy of data
  • Manage supplier transactions and ensure all payments are made in accordance with agreed payment term
  • Manage the process of dealing with queries from clients and reporters and ensure that the appropriate action is taken in a timely manner
  • Liaising with HR to manage and sign off monthly payroll and associated accounting and payroll taxes working with external payroll provider
  • Provide financial data to the Ireland FP&A manager and liaise with the FD, operational team and FP&A manager to review and update rolling monthly forecasts as part of month end process
  • Assist with annual budget process and forecast
  • Assist with cash and working capital management
  • Lead the annual audit and tax completion process including answering audit and tax queries, collating and responding to information requests
  • Work with key stakeholders – SMT, Managing Director Ireland, Finance team at group level
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Must be suitably qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a ERP system ideally Oracle Net Suite or equivalent
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to prioritise
  • Strong skills in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
  • Confident committed individual who works well under pressure
