A well-established not-for-profit organisation is seeking to appoint a Finance Director to oversee the finance function and support the organisation’s ongoing operational and financial performance. Reporting to the board, the successful candidate will be responsible for financial oversight, reporting, compliance, and planning, while ensuring strong financial management across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the finance function
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and financial performance
• Support funding, grant, and reporting requirements where applicable
• Ensure effective financial controls, compliance, and governance procedures are in place
• Manage financial reporting, annual accounts, and audit requirements
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Provide financial analysis and support operational decision-making
• Drive improvements across financial processes and systems
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors
• Lead and develop the finance team

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• Significant experience in a senior finance role within a not-for-profit organisation
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, compliance, and budgeting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Practical, collaborative, and commercially aware
