Our client is a Big 4 practice experiencing increased business activity levels. They wish to recruit a Senior Audit Manager for their Assurance Division. The successful candidate will be the main contact point for key clients of the business. This will involve substantial interaction with senior management within the client's organisation. This client has an in-house senior management development programme, the position offers strong upward career development potential to Director/Partner level.

The Role

• Manage a team having responsibility for a range of major clients.
• Provide guidance and participate in the performance of audit procedures, focusing on complex or specialized issues.
• Collaborate to plan objectives and determine an audit strategy that appropriately addresses risk.
• Monitor the engagement team against the budget, and alter if necessary.
• Bring leadership to the assurance department particularly in the areas of developing new business & staff development. 
• Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and to take responsibility for their contributions to the team.
• Conduct performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to performance feedback/training.
• Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions.

Candidate Profile

The candidate must have a number of years PQE at manager level within a medium to large accounting firm. Our client will consider candidates working in Industry, who trained within a quality firm.
