Client Profile – Top10 Accountancy Firm, Cork

Our client a Top 10 accountancy practice has a significant business across Munster. They are viewed as quality and progressive organisation who are rapidly increasing market share by acquiring new customers and increasing service offerings. They would be amongst the largest non Big 4 professional services firms in the region.

The Role – Senior Tax Manager

They wish to hire an experienced Tax Manager to join the Management team in the tax department in their Cork office.  

Working closely with Partners and Directors, this role offers is primarily consultancy driven and offers a wide range of experience and opportunity for a suitable candidate, to quickly progress to Director level.

Reporting to their Tax Director, duties will include:

• Managing consultancy and planning assignments for a portfolio of indigenous clients
• Strengthening relationships with existing clients in addition to developing new external clients
• Working with clients in all business sectors to develop new business opportunities 
• Assisting in the management of the tax group, including WIP, billings, and fee collections
• Managing tax consultancy engagements from inception to completion
• Liaising with other departments to identify tax planning opportunities for existing clients
• Responsibility for the training, mentoring and development of junior staff

Candidate Profile

The role is challenging and will allow the candidate to become involved in providing solid Taxation solutions. Candidate should have experience across all tax headings and should have excellent client relationship skills. The ideal candidate will have either an accounting or tax qualification, and have the communication skills necessary to motivate and develop staff and work with Senior Management of client organisations.
