Client Profile: Major Group – Industry

Our client is a high profile organisation with business interests across Ireland and the UK. As an organisation, they are entrepreneurial and are viewed as a leader within their industry sector. They have a reputation for being innovative and for driving best practice throughout their organisation. Their Management team are focussed on delivering high results within a competitive market place. The success of their organisation depends on the calibre of their team and they are keen to recruit a high calibre Tax Accountant to work with their Senior Management team.

Role: Tax Accountant

Reporting to the Head of Tax, the Tax Accountant will be involved in the following:

• Preparation of tax computations for Irish entities and ensuring company accounts reflect an accurate tax charge
• Manage Tax compliance cycle for all Group entities
• Liaising with subsidiaries and external tax advisors to ensure tax payments and tax returns are filed with the relevant tax authorities by the appropriate deadlines
• Managing tax “health checks” around the Group to ensure compliance with the Group’s Tax Risk Policy
• Assist with transfer pricing planning and maintenance of related documentation
• Liaising with tax advisors and tax authorities
• VAT: Preparation of Group returns
• VAT: Calculation of International VAT reclaims
• Documenting processes and corporate policies
• Transfer Pricing: managing between group companies and markets
• Ad hoc projects

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have an Accountancy Qualification and have trained within a large accountancy firm
• Tax Qualification would be an advantage, but not necessary
• Should have at least a years PQE working as a tax accountant within the Tax department of a large organisation within Industry or Financial services
• They must have good commercial skills and be comfortable interacting at a senior level within a major group
