Client Profile – Large Accountancy Firm, Cork

Our client is a progressive firm based in the Cork. They are regarded as one of Cork’s leading mid-tier accountancy firms with a focus on providing each client with a top quality “all round” business service. In addition to the traditional accounting & audit assignments, they provide their clients with Tax and business consulting solutions. They have developed an excellent client base comprising solid medium-sized corporate and high net worth clients. 

Role: Tax Manager

They are seeking to recruit an experienced  Taxation Manager to work with their Tax Partner. The role will be totally focused on providing clients with high-level support in all areas of taxation.

This role will include:

• Managing Planning & Consulting issues
• Working closely with staff on training & development
• Working with existing clients to develop new business opportunities 
• Advising a "High Net Worth" clients regarding business and investment matters
• Advice regarding business Acquisitions & disposals
• Capital Taxes
• Retirement Planning

Consultancy Assignments

The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Partner on a range of consultancy issue. Examples of the type of assignment include:

• Corporate restructuring
• Property transactions
• Advice regarding VAT on property
• Investment schemes – property

The role is highly challenging and will allow the candidate to become involved in providing solid Taxation solutions. As a key member of staff, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the strategic development and direction of the department & of the firm. The role offers strong upward career potential.

Candidate Profile 

• Candidates should have a number of year’s experience within a quality Tax practice or Tax department of a large/medium firm
• Either Accounting or Tax Qualification
• Self-starter with excellent client skills
